I lasted 35 minutes before busting. Lets just say i wasnt outplayed. I wont waste time posting hands.

$109 pot limti hold em

entered the 99 person 109 pot limti hold tourny tonight. Did pretty well, ended up getting 7th. with 600/1200 blinds i had about 8800 and was in BB. Folds to the small blinds who calls 600 more. I raised to 3600 or so with A6s(i need to make a move eventually as the blnids go to 1k.2k in about 4 minutes. I had been playing very sloid so i thought i get get a fold right here). He calls. Flop QTT. He checks. Now this guy had been betting out with all his made hands, so i knew he missed and at best had a draw. So i pusdhed in with my last 5500. He thinks about 4 seconsd and calls with KJ. Turn is a 9 and im out. I pocketed a decent amount for a tourny i was playing as i celebrated the Bruins victory of USC. First prize was 3k, 2nd was 1900, 3rd was 1100, 4th was 990...so i was a little disappoited but thats how it goes. I was hoping he wouldnt call off that much more of his stack(he woulda been left with 9k) but he made a nice call and sent me packing. $530 tourny is still this sunday.

well i finally won a seat into the %530 tournament. I won my deat in the $5+rebuy satellite. It was pretty amusing, as we got down to likr 30 people(11 seats, 12th got $385) i started raising like 50% hands and raping the blinds. Then as we go clsoer i just kept puhing in every hand. Getting mostly folds. Then on the actual bubble, i push in with JJ(been pushing alot) and some guy in like 6th place calls with 66 hahaha. What an idiot, so that ended it. I had about 60% of chips in play.

Two funny bad beats and one funny good beat

Been playing some 55/109 1 and 2 table sngs and 1/2 NL cash games. Theres some really bad people on this site that creat funny beats. I also gave one of the worst beats(5 outs techinically, but i won without one of those outs hitting, youll see). I rearely give bad eats, and its even more rare when i say sorry. But man this was bad.

rebuy tournies

Been doing the rebuys lately. Seems like they could be profitable since u can get big stack compared to blinds and play tight. The people are HORRIBLE. So i was up to 9k in chips 3 0minutes in when my set of 7s held up. Then i lose 18k pot when my AKs loses to 84s(ya, both hands were clubs btw) After a huge reraise i pushed in on K44 flop. WEll, i was down to 4k. THen added on to 6k. Then this hand happens. Ive got 4.5k left right now and am trying to make a comeback. But this guys paly, from preflop to on the flop, is the worst ive seen in a long time.

UPDATE: I had about 5k and lost AK vs QQ. Which im fine with. The earlier hands still sucked though.

People are so bad at poker im never amazed anymore

So im playing the 109 Pot Limit Hold em tournament, first place is 3500. First break comes around. Then, i dont play a hand for 30 minutes. The blinds are at 100/200 and i have about 2500 making me 25/32 left or so. Top 18 pay. I felt comfortable with this stack in PL because there is no antes to whittle you down. Well, i figured everyone had me for a rock at the table, bc id been at this table since right before break 1. And i hadnt played a hand in 30 MINUTES. Well, i max raise it to 700 in mid position. The small blind, who had about 3000, max reraises me for the rest of my chips. I decided to call and try to gather some chips hoping he had AK. Well n, he turned up AT. WOW AT? VS the tightest palyer at table? Right as we turned our cards up, another palyer said he had AT too. Well an ace still flopped and i was out. Peoples shitty plays never cease to amaze me.

SNG fun

Well, my bankroll took a hit from a mix of cash games and $55+5 turbo sngs so i went into recovery mode. Recovery mode for me is playing FPP satellites to earn tournament dollars, and then using those to play sngs. Well i went 3/5 in the 1500 FPP 1 table sng satellites to the 215% tourny, so i used that money to play sngs. I also played the actual $215 on sunday itself. Doubled up early then things went downhill fastin second hour and i busted like 1100/2495.

I realized i really do love two table sngs. It allows me to use my great tournament skill, but theres less hands to take bad beats in. In big tournaments, your hands have to hold up several times to makefinal table. I just played a $33 two table, $109 two table, $33 one table, and the $22 PL omaha. I won the $109 for a NICE first prize, got 2nd in the $33 two table, and busted in the $33 one table. The omaha tourny is down to 2 tables as i type this from an original 126. I am 15/18. I play pretty tight in omaha tournaments and usually last deep. Hopefully i can get a run of cards.

poker poker

Won some at 1/2 NL last week and cashed out. Then since then won some more, then lost it then won it then lost it. Then started doing the $55+5 turbos and did well. Did some today, didnt make the money in like the first 9 i did. Then i started doing well in the next like 5 and finished up a couple hundred. Oh the swings of tourny poker.

How some projects ive been doing so havent done much poker this week until today. In science im doing an argumentative paper where i have to use facts etc to argue Mars has a better chance of life on it than Titan, which my "parter" for the project is doing a paper on. Anyways, what fun!
