small win

played a couple tournaments. Used my FPPs on pokerstars to enter for free and lose the Pokerstars $530 event. Also lost a Party Poker $378 event. However i took third in a Party poker 109 for 3k. First was 7800. I was chipleader a couple times at the final table but jsut couldnt get any cards short handed. They were pushing in every hand and i would look down at 82, 83, 72, T3, etc. Oh well, 3rd is better than 312th.

The Ultimate Cold deck

I had a sick, sick run today of horrible sitatuations. In NLHE cash games, sets(when you have a pair as your hold cards, and make a 3rd of that card on the flop) are your big moneymaking hands. Today i was hittng many, and losing every time. I ended up losing about 2k with sets and about 1k with bad beats with my AA. I had a set under set 3 times, and also flopepd top set, fast played and lost to some guy overplaying his flush draw. Also, i had a full house and lsot to QUADS. too. So that majorly sucked. I cant even say i lost big bc of tilt except for one hand at the very end which is when i logged off. Pretty sick, but i guess that cant continue into my next session...
So now im gonna drink some wine and work on outlining my paper due next week.

i was playing 3/6 NL for a few minutes before lunch, and i didnt even notice he was at my table until this hand. Hes definitely a NLHE cash game fish, and thus a welcome member of the table.

Oh man oh man

i entered the $215 Pokerstars sunday tournament as i was doing spanish homework. I was rollin, playing great and gathering chips. I got a big stack and was sitting on it late, playing almost no hands. Yet still, this idiot makes a play at me with K8o and of course suckouts on my QQ. The hand is with 170 left, i woulda been 4th in chips. Then i lose A8s vs Kqo to bust, where im a 60/40 favorite, which isnt mich but still the fav. VERY disappointing. Near suicide, luckily there were 4 girls chillin in my room so i didnt break anything. 5108 people entered so first was $157,000. Damn man, damn.

The weirdest part is the guy somehow finds my aim name and starts IMing me.

I hate colds

Ive been fighting off a cold. Im sure drinking and going out Thrusday night didnt help. But ive dedicated the weekend to getting better. Thus, ive watched 3 movies so far. Heres my ratings(out of 5 stars)

The Usual Suspects- *****. Just an awesome movie, perfectly done. Kevin Spacey is a guru.

K-Pax- ****. Also has Kevin Spacey, who does an awesome job. Hes probably the best actor out there. Movie was great all the way through, but the ending wasnt quite up to par. This contrasts with The Usual Suspects, which had an amazing ending.

Crash- ***. A lot of people loved this movie. I agree with many of the points, but im surprised when people tal kabout it opening their eyes to its themes. The themes were already obvious to me in life, and im an OC white boy. But whatever, still good nonetheless. Nothing spectacular.

BIG PROPS TO UCLA MENS VOLLEYBALL who took down the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP today over Penn ST. Penn St. beat UCI in the semis which was a good feat, but couldnt hang with the big boys UCLA has. 19th mens vball championship in UCLAs history.

Poker: 2/4 NL is going well. Im tracking my hands with poker tracker so i can figure out my hourly rate tec.
Im going to LAX tomorrow to pick up Lauren, hopefully traffic isnt hell. Stay happy, stay sexy, ckrad out.

Poker and School

I got 4th in a 45 person 109 Pot limit hold em tournament for a small cash. I also won a 90 person $55 tournament. Im doing well in the 2/4 NL cash games, i think ill do well there.

2 Midterms this week, Spanish 2 and Intro to Commuincations. They shouldnt be TOO tough so i wont stress too much.

Spring Sing was friday at UCLA, is was pretty sweet. I had good seats in the 7 row dead center. Thanks to Lauren for those. Ok bed time.
