Champions

So my floor dodgeball co-ed team won the championship game today. AHHH YEAH!!! We are the chapions, and we got our free shirts to show it off. It was a best of 5 series as usual, but we dominated and won it 3-0 clearly our #2 seeding should have been #1 ; )

So ya we basically rock. UCLA basketball kicked ass sunday and won by 17. A very solid showing with another 2nd half domination. At the campout we ate In n Out brought over by Jennae Lee ; ) Thx Jennae. THen later we ordered Italian Express and all 3 of us who ate it got spaghetti and meatballs. Very Manly.
There was a firealarm at 4AM last night which SUCKED. Mike and I almost got in a scuffle with an asian kid who wouldnt stop smoking even though hundreds of kids were forced to stand in a crowd waiting for the signal to return. sigh, that asshole. We were shouting obscenities are each other for awhile...Then we got return sign and me n rice went to walk in. Well, wwe didnt see buti guess he threw his lit cig at us. If mike or i saw, he would been hit in the face instantly. Ok peace.

Ironman Toughness

Friday night a glass mug gets shattered.

well, a quarter sized shard of glass, triangle with sharp sides got in my athletic shoes, so whole time at game of IM dodgeball i think i have a rock in my shoe during the game(we won) so i fight htrough the pain, walking back up to my dorm i see blood gushing out of my shoe.

Take it off, take of my red sock and find the giant piece of glass with my toe cutto shreds. So i went to a SHA and got ti wrapped, it was messed up.
Luckily i fought through the pain to earn us a victory

Go Me

So i was tired saturday after a long Friday night so i decided to stayin. I played some online poker and did well i the cash games. However, i also palyed a 499 person $55 tournament. I ended up taking 2nd for a nice cash. It was pretty fun except for not hitting a pair in the HU after like 35 hands and eventually busting K9 vs A4.

Friday night: It was SWEEt. Mike and I held like a 3 hour preparty in our room. We got trashed, then went to the SAA party and drank more. SAA kids are pretty cool, and i dont remember most of the party. Then there was inasnity back at the dorms for awhile. AHHHH YEH. Anthro 8 midterm tomorrow.

Fun Stuff

So we had our IM dodgeball match tonight. I play on my floros co-ed team. We basically rock ; ) But our opponents didnt show(out of fear, im sure) so we got the forfeit. Then there was some other guys there so we decided to play them for fun. They kicked our ass, especially the girls'. Turns out they are the defending Mens A-league champions. Meaning they were the best dodgeball team last year. So anyways the girls leave after taking some rough head shots and our gusy give it a shot. We put up a fight for a few games but got rocked still. So we swapped teams abit and played another 5-6 competitive games. Good times overall, and good practice for our players. The most impressive trait they had was their insane counterattacks. They dodged with little effort and had you nailed in counter in .0001 second.

In very exciting news, i was just made aware by an online poker friend about this: www.pokerinternships.com . I have until March 10th to win one of the daily(i think daily) satellites by making top 9. Once i do that, im in the March 10th finals. The winner of that gets an automatic summer internship with Absolute Poker in San Jose, Costa Rica. The 2nd-9th players all get a phone interview, and they choose TWO of those to get an internship, making 3 internships total.

The interns will work with marketing ideas, software improvement ideas, etc. So they want people interested in business/marketing who also are knowledgable of online poker. This fits me perfectly obviously. I guess i could say i want to win this more then ive ever wanted to win a tourny before. At least since im not 21 and cant play any WSOP/WPT events. Gl to me!

OH also, i would get to use this Spanish im using, because they use Spanish and English there.

Bernard Lee

So im playing 3/6 NL with Bernard Lee right now. I had just made sick rea dand got rid of top pair on river vs his river bet. He told me later he had a boat and im pretty sure i made the right laydown.

Bernard Lee is the asian guy from '05 WSOP coverage on ESPN..he always kissed pictures of his kids etc. He came off as very nice, and after chatting with him for awhile hes a cool guy online also. I am pretty sure i can play with the best these days...but ill wait it out until 21. The 18++ events re so few that id have to choose one that made me miss a lot of school.

Also, he just told me to go to the Commerce in a couple weeks and check out the atmosphere of a WPT event. He said they dont card much, and definitely wont card if i dont gamble and just watch. I might do it.

PS. Now i just made a great call vs him. I rock.

Wow, he just sucked out on me bigtime. I made a small paly reraise him with KT, i hit and he had QT, rivers a queen after all in on turn.

Holllllaaaaa

Life is rolling along and its rockin. Parties are fun, classes are decent, and my friends are cool as always.

My dorm floor had a floor Texas Hold em Tournament. We started with a good amount of chips(advantage: me) and a decent blind structure(advantage:me). 12 guys entered and top 3 got prizes. Anyways, after like 2.5 hours i ended up taking it down after defeating one of my roommates, Tony, heads up. I was easily the best player there, but i also had to get lucky to have all my hands to hold up. I got in with the best hand each time, and it always held. Woo. I played way less pots than everyone else, which is odd for me. However, i know when playing with amateurs its best to just play solid and dont try to bluff them(they dont fold often). Overall, several of the guys definitely had some skill.

Ive been on a nice little run playing 3/6$ No Limit cash games. I could afford to move up to 5/10$ but these games are so juicy right now i see no reason to. Especially with school etc distracting me. OK Peace out.

Heres a cool hand i won after flopping nuts. turns out i had to dodge a lot of outs and was only a 61% favorite to take the pot.
